One of my favorite scrapbooking events is coming soon! February 1st to be exact! I am counting down the days to Layout A Day 213!! LOAD (as us LOADsters affectionately call it) has transformed my scrapbooking! I love the way it makes me think about scrapbooking on a daily basis and telling those little random stories of my life and not just the big events. Plus, scrapbooking every day means I am USING MY STASH! Which you know I love!!
So, as I countdown to LOAD 213, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite layouts from previous LOAD challenges each day here on the blog. I want you to know YOU CAN DO THIS too! And I can show you how!
Let’s take it back to the beginning then, shall we?
October 2010 – My first LOAD experience was fantastic! This page with my oldest son came from a prompt to record a conversation. This was something my son said as we sat down for movie night. There are lots of ways to record a conversation, but this one was fresh in my mind when the prompt came up and so I made a scrapbook page!
The bonus part of this page? I’m usually at a loss as to how to scrap those professional school shots. Since this page is really about him at this age and not about the movie night itself, it worked really well with his quote. I typed up the quote. Mounted the pic and the quote on a scrap piece of patterned paper, then on to white cardstock and kraft cardstock for the base and it was done! Lickety split! Plus, it makes me smile every time I see it!
What conversation would you have scrapped given this prompt? Take a few minutes to go make that page and post a link back here! I would love to see it!

That is a great story! I missed it during that LOAD! There is always so much good stuff to see during LOAD. Can’t wait!
You’ve captured this perfectly. Thanks for taknig the time!
It’s true! There is so much goodness! I could spend my whole day in the gallery during LOAD, but the other people around here like to eat….
